Frances Estelle (Floyd) Crye

Frances Estelle Crye, age 91, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 28, 2025. She was born July 27, 1933, in Walton County to Joe David and Iona Ramsey Floyd. Estelle was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness at the Kingdom Hall in DeFuniak Springs. Working in her yard, keeping it neat and planting flowers, was a joy for her.  She truly loved her cats and dogs because of the companionship they provided for her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Duwayne Crye; two brothers, Lonnie and Russell Floyd; and one sister, Brenda Floyd.

Estelle is survived by one daughter, Nancy College and husband Kevin; three brothers, Yarbrough “Bud”, Archie and Harold Floyd; four sisters, Oleta Floyd, Barbara Hindman, Belle Murphy and husband Paul, Betty Wilson and husband Paul; numerous nieces and nephews; and her many Kingdom Hall friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 beginning at 2:30 p.m.
