Faye Rye

Faye Rye, 71 of Shalimar, FL passed away on Saturday after a brave and mighty battle with cancer, May 11, 2019. She was born July 15, 1947 to Dennis and Rose Churchwell Felton. She attended public education in Jacksonville, AR. Faye met the love of her life, Joel, when she was 12 years old. She was sitting in a classroom when he walked in, she told her friend “I’m gonna marry that guy someday.” Faye spent 15 happy years serving the adult clients at Pathfinder in Jacksonville, AR. Faye’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and serving others through her church, Emerald Coast Worship Centre.

She is survived by her husband, Joel Rye, Sr. of Shalimar, FL; son, Joel Rye, Jr. (Anna) of Ward, AR; daughter, Staci Cardow (Sean) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; She is also survived by grandchildren, Anthony Rye (Hannah) of Ward, AR; Carli Cardow of Fort Walton Beach, FL; Kaden Knight, of Jacksonville, FL;  2 great-grandchildren Collin and Korie Rye of Ward, AR and one on the way, Waylon Rye. She is also survived by her mother, Rose Felton, Lonoke, AR; a twin sister, Kaye Nickles of Cabot, AR; brother Jimmy Felton (Dorothy) of Lonoke, AR; and many nieces and nephews all of whom love her dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, Dennis Felton and sister, Charlotte Smith and granddaughter Emma Cardow.

Funeral services will be held at Emerald Coast Worship Centre, 300 Mary Esther Blvd, Mary Esther, Fl, 32569 on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 7:00 PM with Pastor Charlie Anderson officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at 12 PM May 16, 2019 at Barrancas National Cemetery.
