Ethel B. Evanko, a longtime resident of Fort Walton Beach, FL., passed away on September 27th, 2019, she was a Spry 93 years young. Ethel was born on December 27th, 1925, in Marion, Ohio. She always made the most out of life and she always had fun.
Ethel was very active in her lifetime; she enjoyed Volunteering at the Eglin Thrift shop and attending her water aerobics class, both of which she did until just recently. She loved bowling, cooking, sewing, and playing the penny slots at the casino. Most of all, Ethel Loved her family, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Ethel is survived by her loving family; daughter, Paula E. Dougherty; sons, Michael Evanko and John D. Evanko; grandchildren, Ryan T. Dougherty and Wife Haley Dougherty and Kelsey Evanko; great-grandchildren, Cameron Dougherty and Chloe Stabler. Ethel was preceded in death by her beloved husband John R. Evanko, they are now eternally together.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Davis Watkins Funeral Home 113 NE Racetrack Road Fort Walton Beach, Fl 32547. Ethel will be interred on Monday the 14th of October at 10:30am, at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made in Ethels memory, to Emerald Coast Hospice.
