Ellis Earl Gundrum gained his wings Monday, January 4, 2021. He was born on April 16, 1964 to Betty Sue Gundrum and the late Nathan Pete Bryant. Ellis was a resident of Freeport, Florida most of his life. He was a member of St. Stephens Baptist Church.
Ellis leaves to mourn the love of his life of 26 years, his wife Sabrina Gundrum; his five beloved children, Jeremiah (Monique) Cooper of Katy, Texas, Ellis (Marica) Gundrum, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, Tiffany Gundrum of Chiefland, Florida, Hannah Gundrum, and Isaac Gundrum of Freeport, Florida; his mother Betty Sue Gundrum of Freeport, Florida; brothers, Nathan (Marjorie) Gundrum of Freeport, Florida, and Otis Gundrum of Panama City, Florida; one sister, Amanda (Truman) Chestnut of Ponce de Leon, Florida; 13 grandchildren, Jeremias, Jeselle, Armand, Latrell, E’Miley, Ellysi’auna, Tyonna, Montrail, Aubree Kay, Lucas, Kobe Ray, Olivia, and Lillian; nephews and nieces that are like his own children, Carlos (Kim) Jenkins, James Marshall, Jr., Joshanna, Nehemiah, Savannah, and PJ all of Freeport, Florida; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins; and three incredibly special friends, Dr. Anna P. Krupkin, Ms. Jacky Barker, and Andre Palmore.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 with Pastor Carl Jett officiating.
In consideration of public health and safety, the family has requested that facial coverings be worn while attending the memorial service.
