Ellen Frances Harris, age 72, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother of Panama City, Florida passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at her residence. She was born February 10, 1953 in Miami, Florida to Henry George Roucoulett and Catherine Lavina Dunn. Ellen found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, often spending her days fishing at her favorite spots or tending to her beautiful flower bed. Above all, Ellen cherished the moments spent with her family. Whether it was a quiet afternoon at home or a lively family gathering, her laughter and love were the threads that wove their lives together. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her light will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Catherine Roucoulett; two sons, Anthony Harris Jr. and Verlin Charles Harris; and one granddaughter, Donzette Rose Harris.
Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Anthony Harris; three children, Katie Ard (Gene), Wayne Harris (Alicia), and Jake Harris; thirteen grandchildren, Angel, Trenton (Virginia), Hailey, Jaden (Chase), Mackenzie, Azzy, Brionna, Daniel, Logan, Dalton, Mackenzie, Breanna, and Jess; one sister, Florence "DeeDee"; and several special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Sweet Gum Head Church of Christ beginning at 2:00 p.m. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow at Sweet Gum Head Church of Christ Cemetery.
