Elbert O. Bailey

Elbert O. Bailey, age 79, of Westville, Florida passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at his residence.  He was born December 3, 1946 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Bailey and Lucille Maloy; wife, Pat Bailey; son, Brandon Bailey; brothers, Willard, Ralph, Neil, David, and Billy Wayne Bailey; and his sisters, Joy Hollingsworth and Syvle Bowers.

Elbert is survived by his daughters, Jennie Rushing (Wayne) and Pennie Rider (Jack); son, Clayton Bailey (Jennifer); brother, Bobby Bailey (Judy); grandchildren, Hunter Rider (Kylie), Jackie Peoples (Logan), Levi Rider, Aaron Rushing (Cassie), Caidon Rushing, Landon Rushing, Patrick Bailey, and Kenzie Bailey; great-grandchildren, Lawson, Pennie Marie, Oaklee, Brylee, Tinlee, and Bodhi; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of Bonifay, 406 West Highway 90, Bonifay, Florida 32425, beginning at 2 p.m.  A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Committal services will follow at Caryville Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy.
