Bill Montgomery passed away at his home on Saturday, July 18, 2026, with his three sisters, Linda, Debbie, and Kim by his side.
Bill was an avid fisherman. His happiest hours were spent casting lines along the Choctawhatchee River, pursuing his favorite passion—largemouth bass fishing—alongside his close friend, Mikey.
His love for the Gulf extended into his professional life, where he served as a mate on the private boat Papi, owned by Charles Morgan and docked at Harbor Docks. Working alongside Captain Kevin Moak, Bill was known for his hard work and easy camaraderie.
The Montgomery sisters wish to extend their deepest gratitude to the Morgan family and the entire Harbor Docks staff. The overwhelming support provided to Bill will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held at Harbor Docks at a date to be determined, allowing all who knew Bill to gather, share memories, and wish him well on his next voyage.
