Obituary

Earl Donald Bishop, age 91, a veteran of the Korean War and longtime resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away May 2, 2023. “Frog” as he was known to many in the area, was born October 27, 1931, to Carlton and Beulah Bishop. Mr. Bishop was Baptist by faith and a member of the Argyle Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his love of his family and his passion for fishing.

Mr. Bishop is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Beatrice Bishop; parents, Carlton and Beulah Bishop; sisters, Floysteen Bishop Mendez, Madeline Bishop Douglass, Kathleen Bishop Hardy and Lorene Bishop Prescott.

Mr. Bishop is survived by his five children, Donald Wayne Bishop and wife Debbie of DeFuniak Springs, Rena Prater and husband Ronnie of Paxton, Florida, Kim Bishop of DeFuniak Springs, Susan Odom and husband James of DeFuniak Springs, and Natalie Eades of Enterprise, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Melissa Harbin, Beau Bishop, Brandy Brooks and husband Justin, Amber Kenseth and husband Ross, Brandon Odom and wife Adrienna, Kylie Eades and Haylie Eades; and six great grand children, Jordan Bishop, Wyatt Brooks, Isabella Brooks, Lexi Kenseth, Colt Kenseth and Addison Eades.

A private celebration of life service will be held in his honor.

Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of DeFuniak Springs.
