Dottie Jo Kitch

Dottie Jo Kitch, age 83, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 4, 2023. She was born March 28, 1940, in southern Missouri to Mildred Moore. In 1965, Dottie married the love of her life, David B. Kitch, and became a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her loving pets. Dottie was passionate about two things: plants and dolphins, and she loved to spend hours sharing those passions with her kids and grandkids.

Dottie is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Moore; and her sister, Caroline “Suzie” Thornton.

Dottie is survived by her husband of 58 years, David B. Kitch; her children, David Sean Kitch (Michelle), and Jacqueline Brown (Chad); her grandchildren, David Michael Kitch, Keri Kitch, Brittany Kitch (Cody), Denham Kitch (Mallorie), and honorary grandson, Jason; her great-grandchildren, Dawson Bell and Cohen Roy; and siblings, Judy Truitt, and Jack Moore.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of DeFuniak Springs.
