Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Blanche Thompson and her sister, Anne Fern.
Jean lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and love. A passionate advocate for animal welfare, she spent years supporting rescues and dedicating her heart to fostering and adopting countless cats. She also had a gift for caring for others, whether serving as PTO president during her children’s school years, working as a school nurse, or teaching preschool and daycare. Above all, Jean cherished her role as “Gaga”. She delighted in creating magical memories with her grandchildren, treating them to trips to Disney World and vacations at the beach.
She will be remembered for her generosity, dropping off baked goods, gift cards, and small acts of kindness that made a big difference in the lives of those around her. Jean’s legacy of love, service, and giving will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to a local animal rescue or shelter, honoring her lifelong passion for helping animals in need.
