Dolores F. Roberts

Dolores F. Roberts, age 91, of Ponce de Leon, Florida passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, peacefully at her home. She was born May 1, 1934, to the late Louis and Antonette Fiorenza in Atlanta, Georgia. Dee, as she was known to friends and family, moved to Hialeah as a child with her parents. Her father was the printing department manager at Eastern Airlines. Dee became an executive secretary in the engine overhaul department at Eastern Airlines. It was here that she met the love of her life, Louis Roberts, who became her husband of sixty-four-plus years when he passed January 23, 2023. Later in life, Dee worked as a switchboard operator at a hotel in Miami where she was thrilled to meet actor, Dan Blocker and actress and dancer, Ginger Rogers. In 1972, the family moved to a farm near Ponce de Leon, Florida where she became a devoted farm wife, helping her husband raise cattle, chickens, hogs, and hay. She also worked for a time at Ponce de Leon school as a teacher’s aide in Home Economics and a substitute teacher as needed. Being Italian, she was also an excellent cook. She loved animals, semi-trucks, auto racing, flowers, old movies, classic TV shows, airplanes, and her family and friends.

Dee is survived by her daughter, Cheryl; two sons, David and Kenneth; a grandson, Alex (wife, Andi); and a great grandson, Louis.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 beginning at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time at Lisbon Cemetery in Fayetteville, Georgia with Minister Joel Davis officiating.
