Diane Mary Tillander

Diane Mary Tillander, age 73, a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024. She was born September 26, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York to John and Christina Olson. She could be best described as strong, spunky, fun loving, fierce, one who would stand her ground if necessary, and a person who wore her heart on her sleeve. Simply put, Diane was an amazing person. She was always willing to step up and lend a helping hand. Her love was not limited to humans, but to animals also, especially cats.  Baking, cooking, and crafting were things she enjoyed, never missing an opportunity to share this knowledge with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Alex Olson; two sisters, Suzanne Olson and Alice Passantino; one uncle, James Vanderbeck; and one nephew, Christopher Olson.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Diane “Dee” Edge; three grandchildren, Racheal Beach (Luke), Heather Weidman (Tyler), and Dustin Wooten; seven great-grandchildren, Lane, Gracie, Leelyn, Payton, Aubrey, Zoe, and Natalie; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior.
