Delia Alpas Ochoa, 77, passed away 2nd January 2022, at her home in Crestview, FL after a short illness.
Mrs. Ochoa was born on 18th October, 1944 in Idio, Sebaste, Antique, Philippines to Juana and Numeriano Alpas. She graduated college from the University of San Augustine, Iloilo City with a degree in Medical Technology, and worked for many years for the Philippine Department of Health as a microscopist. She married former Vice Mayor of Sebaste, Tito Ochoa on 25th December, 1969 and they raised four daughters - Marilou, Mariteth, Maridel, and Marijoy.
Mrs Ochoa moved to Crestview in 2018 to stay with her daughter Marilou and grandson, Brendan, and was able to spend time with her sister, Lilia Dioso, and other family members also living in the USA over the past 3 years.
Mrs Ochoa enjoyed going to the church with family, spending time in the garden growing roses, calamansi and vegetables, and sewing. She will be remembered by her community in the Philippines for her generosity and kindness, and her sweet personality and great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
Her memorial service will be held Saturday 8th January at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 550 Adams Dr, Crestview. The family will have a small gathering immediately after the service for close friends and family.
The family would like to express their thanks to the wonderful staff of the North Okaloosa Medical Center and Emerald Coast Hospice, who helped to care for Mrs. Ochoa over the past few months.
