David Stovall Obituary

David Frank Stovall, age 77, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at his home in Fort Walton Beach.

David was born in Macon, Georgia on January 25, 1944 to Frank Sterling Stovall and Lottie Alwran Stovall. He grew up in a military family that lived all over the world, and they decided to retire in Fort Walton Beach.  David attended Pensacola Junior College, then studied at the University of West Florida and earned two Bachelor’s Degrees in Science.

He married the love of his life, Sharon Lowe Stovall, on September 25, 1965 and had one daughter, Kelly.  In March of 1966, David joined the United States Navy, and served on the USS Taconic out of Norfolk, Virginia as a draftsman.

Their Family attended Abundant Life Church, where he served as a Deacon for some time.

David was an avid Florida State Seminoles fan, who also enjoyed kickboxing and playing softball.  He was a gun enthusiast, and a proud member of the NRA.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon Lowe Stovall; daughter Kelly Stovall Harris (Darren); and his grandchildren Emma and Benjamin.

He is preceded in death by his grandson Jesse Brewer.

The family is having a private memorial to be announced at a later date.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff from Emerald Coast Hospice, for all their hard work, understanding, caring, and late nights.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
