David Spencer Bonjean, beloved husband, devoted father, honored Marine, and cherished grandfather, peacefully passed away on February 29, 2024, in the morning, surrounded by his loving family. He was 84 years old. Born on December 18, 1939, Spencer's life was a testament to courage, integrity, and love. He proudly served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War, exemplifying bravery and selflessness in service to his nation.

Spencer's passion for the outdoors was a defining aspect of his life. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found solace and joy in nature's beauty, often sharing his adventures with family and friends. Above all, Spencer was a devoted family man. He shared thirty years of love and companionship with his beloved wife, Dyane Bonjean, and was a source of strength and guidance for his two sons, Andy Bonjean and Clayton Bonjean. Spence is also survived by his Sister Sandy Crouse His legacy of love and devotion extends to his grandchildren, Frank Bonjean and Ava Kate Bonjean, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride. Spencer leaves behind a legacy of honor, compassion, and resilience that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may be gone, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alaqua Animal Rescue in Spencer's memory.  Spence requested a small service with close family and to have his ashes spread upon his favorite fishing spot in Choctawhatchee Bay.

Rest in peace, David Spencer Bonjean. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved you.
