Daniel “Danny” Shawn Mancill was born March 15, 1972, in New Port Richey, Florida and passed away April 17, 2026, at his home in Gritney (Caryville), Florida. Danny lived a full life. He traveled across the country, always turning work into a sight-seeing vacation. Danny’s time home involved spending time with family and friends. He loved to have friends and family over to “Grill ‘n Chill” and making his sons eat his “stupid grillin” when they were young, as he would joke. Whether he was with you or not, you could always find him on the water with a rod and reel or deep in the woods with a metal detector. He would never come back empty-handed whether he’d have a handful of fish, or arrowheads to show off. In his last years, he spent his time home being the best grandpa he could be to his grandchildren, Harper and Nolan Mancill. There wasn’t a park in traveling distance Danny hasn’t taken his grandchildren to for a picnic and a good time. Danny will be remembered by lots of good times and memories.
Danny is preceded in death by his brother, Greg Mancill; father, Eugene Mancill; and one sister, Bridgette Mancill.
He is survived by several loving family members including two sons, Blake Mancill and Alex Mancill; one daughter in law, Kyla Hope Mancill; two grandchildren, Harper Mancill and Nolan Mancill; mother, Kathy Mancill; two siblings, Brandy and Travis Mancill; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, April 26, 2026 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins of Bonifay, 406 West Highway 90 Bonifay, Florida 32425 beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Minister Louis Kathman officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins of Bonifay.
