With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Earl Woodall II, 72, who passed away surrounded by the love of his family.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Daniel E. Woodall I, his mother, A. Louise Woodall, and his sister, Patricia Kleiner.
He was the devoted husband of Dorothy M. Woodall, his beloved partner since July 27, 1985, sharing a steady and enduring love built on loyalty and quiet strength.
Dan was a proud father to Todd Murdoch (Katie), Tara Cruz (Leo), Ashley Culpepper (Tom), and Daniel E. Woodall III. He showed his love through hard work and sacrifice, always putting his family first and providing for them without hesitation. His strength and example will live on through them.
He is also survived by his loving sister, D. Gayle Fiabane (Bruno); his grandchildren, Emily, Jaxson, Jayden, Tristan, and Tyler; and his nieces, Lauren (Andrew) and Elysha (Ryan).
A lifelong mechanic and car enthusiast, Dan had a remarkable ability to recognize nearly any classic car at a glance. He took great pride in his 1968 Chevy Camaro and his treasured 1931 Ford Tudor, affectionately named “Buggs” after his granddaughter, Emily.
Quiet and laid back, Dan had a sharp wit and a gift for perfectly timed one-liners. He had a huge heart and was always looking out for others, showing his love through actions rather than words.
In his final days, Dan was surrounded by a loving circle known as “The Hen House,” including his wife, Dottie, his children, his loyal companion, Chief, and his devoted caregiver, Krista Toolan, whose compassion brought comfort and dignity to both Dan and his family.
The memorial service will be at The Chapel of 30A on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Celebration of Life will follow at North Beach Social at 4:30 p.m.
Dan will be deeply missed and forever loved.
