Obituary

After a three-year battle with Dementia / Alzheimer's, Mrs. Cynthia Kay Baggett, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, passed away on Sunday September, 17 2023. Kay Stephenson Baggett was born in Laurel, Mississippi in 1948 to parents, John R. and Bennie Stephenson. She was raised in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduating from W.A Berry High School, Kay attended Jacksonville State University. She is survived by her husband, Michael Baggett; their son, Brian Baggett; and daughter, Kristen Baggett Peterson.

Kay and Michael were married for fifty-three years, living in Florence, Alabama and in Nashville, Tennessee for fifteen years. For the last twenty years, they resided in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

In a private, family service, Kay will be buried at Gulf Cemetery in Santa Rosa Beach.
