Curtis Hadinger Obituary

Curtis John Hadinger, born June 3, 1969, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 20, 2026.

Curtis was a beloved father, son, brother, friend, and partner whose presence left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. His greatest love was his daughter, Madison Anne Hadinger (17), who was the center of his world and the deepest joy of his life.

He was previously married to Melanie Anne Scarborough on November 27, 2008. Although they later divorced in 2016, they remained devoted co-parents and best friends. Their bond endured through time, built on mutual respect, care, and an enduring love that never faded.

Curtis also leaves behind his stepchildren, Johnathon Grant Kennedy (28) and Spencer William Kennedy (22), both of Freeport, Florida, who held a special place in his life.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Hadinger of Naples; his sister, Susan Hadinger of Naples; his step-sister, Rie Attridge of Utah; and his nephews, Drew Hadinger and Jack Attridge. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Curtis Rosenbaum of Roanoke, Virginia, and his adopted father, Thomas Hadinger of Naples, Florida.

Curtis was known for his larger-than-life personality—loud, confident, and unapologetically himself. He never worried much about what others thought and lived with a bold honesty that made him unforgettable. He was kind, funny, full of love, and always ready for a good debate.

He enjoyed golf, football, and a long career in flooring sales. He loved a perfectly cooked New York strip steak—rare—and a loaded sweet potato. Curtis had a gift for conversation and could connect with anyone, anywhere. He had a knack for finding the best seat, the front row, or the closest parking spot without fail.

He was simple in the best way—smart, loyal, protective of the people he loved, and never asking for much from anyone. Curtis gave more than he ever took, and his presence brought energy, humor, and strength to those around him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he left behind.

A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Fort Walton Beach Yacht Club, 180 Ferry Road NE, Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
