Crystal Elise Cast

Crystal Elise Cast, 50, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Crystal was born February 3, 1975, in Fort Walton Beach.

Crystal started school at the School of Hope in Fort Walton Beach when she was a few months old. She later attended Longwood Elementary School and Silver Sands. After graduating, she attended Pyramid in FWB, making many friends and enjoying music and painting. Crystal enjoyed traveling for many years. She worked for a short time at Winn Dixie.

Her health worsened shortly before the pandemic. She spent her last three years at the Developmental Center of FWB, where she received excellent care.

Emerald Coast Hospice cared for Crystal for several years. Many thanks go to all who work with the Special Needs population, especially caregivers Judy and Kutanua, the staff at Pyramid and the Developmental Center. Crystal was very kind and gentle, brightening many lives with her beautiful smile. She made many friends along the way.

Crystal is survived by her mother, Lynda Cast of Shalimar, FL; father, William Cast, and his wife, Bonnie of Mary Esther, FL; brother, Paul Cast, and his wife, Esther of Niceville, FL; sister, Caryn Cast of New York City, New York; and aunts, Elaine Doyle (Pat) and Susan Crotts (Ed); as well as many cousins and a special friend, Alice. She was preceded in death by her uncle, James Walker; grandparents, Rose and Felix Cast, and J.T. and Hazel Walker.

A Celebration of Life will be held November 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Simon's Episcopal Church in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
