Clinton Ernest Smith

Clinton “Clint” Ernest Smith, age 89, a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at his residence.  He was born April 27, 1931 in Fairhaven, Vermont to Raymond and Elizabeth Smith.  Clint and his wife had lived in DeFuniak for the past thirty years, after moving from Wendell, Massachusetts.  After visiting family in the area, they made the decision to relocate to DeFuniak with the Southern climate being a major factor.

He is preceded in death by his wife of almost sixty-eight years, Pauline Smith.

Clint is survived by two sons, Mark Smith of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Clinton Smith and wife Sue of Massachusetts; five daughters, Connie Milne and husband Keith, Bonita Otto and husband Bob, and Veronica Smith all of Massachusetts, Cynthia Crowningsheild of DeFuniak Springs, and Sandra Combs and husband Randall of Bruce, Florida; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In keeping with Clint’s wishes, he will be cremated with no service to be held.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home and Crematory.
