Cleve Odis Yaun

Cleve Odis Yaun  passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022. He was born October 7, 1942 in Lake Worth, Florida to a family that has been native Floridians for many generations.  As residents of DeFuniak, Cleve and his father, Roland Yaun, owned their own roofing business and worked side by side for several years. His favorite hobbies were fishing and gardening, which placed him exactly where he wanted to be, outdoors. Cleve grew his gardens organically and they flourished with vegetables every season of the year. Everything he placed into the ground thrived! Different varieties of fruit trees, including blackberry and blueberry, all grew in abundance over his property. Also, he loved working with and admiring his rose bushes. Cleve was a highly intelligent man and well-read. He studied the healing assets of herbs and was a wholehearted believer in natural healing.  He was a member of the East Baptist Church in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Evelyn Yaun; and one brother, Thomas Yaun.

Cleve is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Yaun; two sons, Randy (Laura) Yaun and Brian (Laurie) Yaun; one stepson, Kenneth B. Reynolds III; three grandchildren, Kristen Yaun, Matthew Yaun, and Mercedes Reynolds; and one sister, Clyde Marie Cronin.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
