Cindy Gainey Long, 44, passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2025. Born on October 18, 1980, Cindy lived a life defined by determination, hard work and resilience.

In her free time, Cindy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially her passion for treasure hunting. She loved exploring, searching for hidden gems, and finding beauty in the unexpected. This spirit of adventure reflected her outlook on life: always curious, always seeking, always appreciating what others might overlook.

Cindy is survived by her sons, Joseph Brannon, Erik Culpepper, and Trevor Culpepper. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley York; and her brother, Timmy Gainey and his wife, Shauna Gainey, reunited with them now in eternal rest.

Cindy’s life reminds us of the power of perseverance and the beauty of finding light even in life’s quiet corners. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
