Christopher "David" Taunton, age 44, left this world unexpectedly April 25, 2023. He was born September 23, 1978, to Robert Taunton and Cynthia Collinsworth Taunton King in Fort Hood, Texas. David worked with his parents at Wright Electrical Contractors, Inc. He was a meticulous electrician and had earned the respect of everyone that he worked with.
David, being an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt, walk in the woods, canoe, and garden. He also loved to fish, throw a cast net, and share his catch with friends.
David worked for many years with his friend, George Watson, at Trade Winds Italian Restaurant, where he picked up a love for cooking. He enjoyed preparing special dishes for his family and friends.
David was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Taunton, at a very young age.
David is survived by his partner and best friend, Kathryn Sistrunk; parents, Kennith and Cynthia King; sisters, Sandie Taunton (Derek Salter); Heather Lollie (Matt); stepsisters, Trina King, Tricia Lung (Wayne), and Tiffani Dawes; stepbrother, Kennith King (Adriana); nieces and nephews, Drake and Violet Salter, Fox and Ivy Lollie, and Analynn and Vivian King.

A time of visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 113 N.E. Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, 32547.
