Cheri Lynn Self

Cheri Lynn Self, age 66, passed away on December 18, 2025. She was born on October 13, 1959, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Robert Elmer Self and Margaret Joyce Boone.

Cheri will be remembered for being smart, funny, and someone who never met a stranger. She had a warm, welcoming spirit and a quick wit that put people at ease, she brought laughter and connection to all who knew her. Cheri shared a deep and loving bond with her longtime partner, Timothy Mathie.  She is also survived by her brother, Neal Self and his wife, Kim; nephew, Seann; father in law, Guy Milton Mathie of Big Spring, Texas; brother in laws, Jon and Russ Mathie; many nieces and nephews locally and across Canada. 

A service honoring Cheri’s life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
