Obituary

Charles “Chuck” Sunley passed into eternal life with Jesus in March of 2023.  Chuck was born on November 8, 1948, in the State of Nevada. Chuck served his country and eventually retired from the United States Air Force. He continued working for many years as a United States Government employee in telecommunications.

Chuck served at his local church home, Covenant Community Church.  Chuck could be found behind the counter at “Jehovah’s Java” with the biggest, most joyful smile on his face.  If you talk to anyone that met him, they will say he is full of joy and he loves Jesus.  Worshipping with Chuck was even more joyful and contagious than his smile and joyful greetings.  He would sing in his own way and is probably most known for shouting “PRAISE JESUS”, in his own “Chuck like” way.  Proverbs 17:22 (NASB) says, “A joyful heart is good medicine”.  Chuck was good medicine.

Chuck’s presence will be missed, but his legacy of loving and praising Jesus will be remembered for generations.  He is survived by his Covenant Family.  He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter, and son, Nino.

The funeral service to honor Chuck's life will be Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Covenant Community Church in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
