Charles "Charlie" Edward Shelley

Charles Edward Shelley, "pops" or "Charlie ", age 69, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 in Pensacola, Fl.

Charles was born on November 21, 1949 in Dothan, Alabama to Eulice Shelley of Ashford, Alabama and Wilma Jean Murdock of Ashford, Alabama. Charles graduated from the University of West Florida with a bachelor's degree in business administration.  He owned and operated a moving and storage business in Pensacola for 40 years following in his father’s footsteps. Charles was known for his great sense of humor and kind giving nature. He loved boating and anything on the water and loved lilies. 

Charles is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walt and Lessie Shelley and his maternal grandparents, Oscar and Ethel Murdock. 

He is survived by his parents, Eulice and Wilma Shelley; his daughter, Lori Hearn;  granddaughter, Gracie Hearn; brothers, Tim and Glenn Shelley; numerous nieces and nephews; close friends and care givers Barbara Allen, Mike Minton, and Tommy Hess.

A Funeral Service will be held at Davis Watkins Funeral Home, 113 NE Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32547 on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.  Dr. Howard Gates will be officiating the service. Burial will follow the service at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
