Charles “Charlie” Wilburn Williams, 93, of Fort Walton Beach, stepped into his heavenly home on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
Charlie was born on July 12, 1928 to Cooper and Cora Lee Williams in Cedartown, Georgia. He was the youngest of 7 siblings. He met his beautiful bride, Maxie, at Antioch Baptist Church and they married on December 24, 1949. They were married for 67 wonderful years. Charlie spent his career in the airline industry managing stations for Southern Airways, Republic Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and Northwest Airlink all across the southeastern United States.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Cooper and Cora, wife, Maxie and his 7 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Lex (wife Donna) Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, daughter Jan (husband Paul) Thomas of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and daughter Pam (husband Chuck) Auschwitz of Orlando, Florida. He is also survived by grandchildren Brian Thomas, Heather McGee, Charlie Thomas, Rebekah Williams, Anne Williams, and Emily Auschwitz and multiple great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
