Tom was born to Frank and Juanita Sisk on July 24, 1946 in Port St. Joe, Florida. As a young man he excelled in school and played football at Port St. Joe High School. At 18, he joined the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War on two separate occasions. He had an honorable twenty-four year armed forces career before retiring in 1988. Upon discharge from the Air Force, he worked for Sears and then Southern Management as a District Manager until fully retiring approximately 2004. During this time, he also attended the University of West Florida. While enjoying his retirement, he dedicated the rest of his life to loving and serving his family and loved ones in any way he could.
Tom is survived by his lifelong friend, Diane Sisk; younger brother, Talman Sisk (nephew, Christopher); his children, Alan Sisk, Tina Sullivan and James Sisk (Michelle). His crowning glory was his grandchildren, Alannah Capps, Caitlyn Shiner (Gage), Killian Arnold, as well as his great grandchildren, Melody Hurlbert, Elijah Shiner, Achilles Arnold, Rylee Shiner and Emilia Shiner.
Tom had a way of loving everyone around him: family, friends and stepfamily alike, all of whom held a special place in his heart. His gentle spirit, warm humor and playful teasing touched everyone who had the joy of knowing him.
Though he is no longer with us, his love, laughter and steady presence will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His life was a gift to everyone he touched, and his memory will continue to bring comfort and smiles for years to come.
