Charles David Shaw

Charles David Shaw fell asleep in death April 4, 2024. He was born in Sargent, Nebraska, July 31, 1931, to Arthur Shaw and Helen (Crane) Shaw, the last of six children. His father passed away when he was only 13, so by the time he was 15, he was making his own way in the world working on farms or ranches with his brothers in neighboring states. 

He met his wife, Denise, and they were married March 20, 1952. 

They started their family when their daughter, Roilene, was born. After moving to Wyoming for work, they welcomed daughter, Justina, into the world. Moving to Colorado, the family settled in Arvada, where they raised their two daughters.

Chuck became a skilled carpenter and that was his occupation throughout his life. He was a hard worker and provided well for his family. Upon retirement, Chuck remodeled an old motor-home, in which he and Denise enjoyed traveling to places like Mexico and Alaska. Later, when Chuck and Denise returned to Nebraska to care for her parents, he worked hard to remodel a home where they all could live. He also enjoyed making furniture, and gardening. 

As a young boy, he learned about Jehovah God and looked forward to the time his Kingdom would restore earth to a paradise, and he would be reunited with those who passed before him. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; his four brothers, Jack Shaw, Robert (Bud) Shaw, Richard (Dick) Shaw, and Jim Shaw; one sister, Betty Fleming; and his beloved granddaughter, Sarah Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Denise; daughters Roilene and Justina (Jeff) Brewer; grandchildren, Christopher (Denise) Lewis, Evan (Jolynn) Brewer and Cameron Brewer; great grandchildren, Lizzie Lewis, Blake Lewis and Winston Brewer; as well as, many nieces, nephews and their children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on zoom Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. central time. Please contact the family for zoom information.
