Charles Melson Obituary

Charles Duane Melson, age 82, a longtime resident of Mary Esther, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2020 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was born on June 21, 1938 in Southard, Oklahoma, to William Allen Melson and Leota Josephine Emmons Melson.

Charles was a proud veteran and retired with over 20 years of faithful service in the United States Air Force. He was a devout Christian and an active member of Mary Esther Church of God. Most of all, Charles loved his family.

Charles is survived by his sons, Eugene, Michael and Duane; brother, William Allen Melson, Jr.; and nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; and brothers, Gerald and James.
