Charles Dewey Evans

Charles Dewey Evans, age 65, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Monday, April 8, 2024. He was born April 18, 1958, in DeFuniak Springs, to Dewey Otis Evans and Frances Thompson Evans.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Charles is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Francine Evans; children, Kevin Evans (Audra), Dawn Ruth (Jason Shane), and Vicki Evans; grandchildren, Josh Ruth, Kaitlin Ruth, Emily Ruth, Devynne Wilkes (Scott McMahon), Gavin Vencil, Brandon Vencil, Athan Evans, and Logan Evans; great granddaughter, Vada Lynn Wilkes; sisters, Shirley Hamrick (Herb), Betty Spires (Legare), Mary King (Leon), and Caroline Evans; brother, Danny Evans (Lisa); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Funeral services were held at Glendale Memorial Nature Preserve in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Wendel Ard officiating.
