Catherine Pinckney

Catherine S. Pinckney was called home to be with Jesus, at approximately 3:00pm on Thursday, September 30th, 2021, at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. She was 82 years young. Catherine was born on March 25, 1939, to Evelyn Simmons and Jervy Bradley.

Catherine gave her life to Jesus Christ and was obedient to Acts 2:38. She was baptized in Jesus’ name for the remission of her sins and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the Apostolic Christian Tabernacle.

Catherine impacted numerous lives, always a friend to everyone she encountered, and to those who already knew her. She was faithful in her attendance at the Church on the Emeral Coast on Denton Boulevard, Fort Walton Beach. Everyone knew of her passion for playing the tambourine, singing, praying, encouraging, and witnessing to all who would listen. At every opportunity she was at church worshipping at the front of the sanctuary. She gave bible studies in her home, was the catalyst for helping others heal spiritually and emotionally, and never boasted or expected accolades. She was overflowing with common sense and down-to-earth Godly wisdom.

Her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories and memorials she has built due to her compassion and passion for people. Catherine Pinckney was healed of stage 4 lung cancer and overcame many afflictions due to her complete faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His healing power.

Catherine Pinckney will be sorely missed and never forgotten by those she has left behind. We will greet her one day in Heaven and rejoice on that happy reunion day. She is not dead, she has simply crossed over the threshold of flesh into the realm of the Spirit.

Catherine S. Pinckney leaves a loving daughter, Willie Mae (Star) Hicks; son-in-law, Willie R. Hicks Jr.; sister, Sadie Bell Hollings; grandchildren, Robbie King, Rita King, Emory Parrish, Danielle Taylor, and Ron Taylor; brother-in-law, Billy King; Cousins, Joann Simmons, Elizabeth Dixon, Melissa Hollings, Jessie T. Hollings, Arlene Carter; and many more wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
