Carolyn Marie Herring

Carolyn Marie Herring, age 73, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at her residence.  She was born May 22, 1945 in DeFuniak Springs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Broward, Sr. and Lillie Howell; husband, Daniel Herring; one daughter, Shelia Herring; six sisters, Thelma McGough, Gertha Baylet, Jeanette Cordle, Alice Messer, Wilma Andrews, and Mollie Pyle; and one brother, Alton Howell.

Carolyn is survived by one daughter, Sherry Martha Thompson and husband Earl; one son, Timothy Malcom Herring; brother, John B. Howell, Jr. and wife Joanne; grandchildren, Curtis Taylor Parker and  wife Jessica, Alexis Capri Thompson, Shelia Nicole Herring, Wesley Malcom Herring, Daniel James Herring, and Julina Renee Herring; great-grandchildren, Alison Nicole and Luke Taylor Parker, and Jackson Parker; step-grandchildren, Charlene and husband Patrick, Dustin and wife Sierra, and Jasmine; step-great-grandchildren, Cassie, Alia, Adam, Avery,  River, and Serenity;

Those ask to serve as pallbearers:  John Cordle, Larry Cordle, Carl Messer, Randall Messer, Roger Pyle, Jr., and Curtis Parker.

A time of visitation will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Community Holiness Church of DeFuniak Springs from 6 until 8 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Community Holiness Church beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Howard Taylor officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to offset final expenses.
