Brenda Sue LaMonte

Brenda Sue LaMonte, age 72, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2025 after a brief battle with cancer.

Brenda was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Owen and Carlene Smith on September 12, 1952.  She graduated from Monticello High School, in Monticello, Illinois with the Class of 1970. She married Dennis LaMonte on July 10, 1970 in Monticello, Illinois.

Brenda traveled with Dennis and their three daughters in support of his military service until they settled in Paducah, Kentucky after his retirement. She moved to Florida with him in November 2020.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis LaMonte; father, Owen Smith; and niece, Danielle Bright. She is survived by her daughters, Barb (Jeff) Jackson, Christina LaMonte, and Cherie (Richard) Muhlhauser; mother, Carlene Smith; sisters, Connie (Clyde) Caceres, Barbara (Tom) Tuttle,and Trish (Doug) Bright; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
