Brandan Liam Gustafson

With broken hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of our beautiful, energetic, and endlessly imaginative Brandan Liam Gustafson, age 12, of Crestview and Valparaiso, Florida, who left this world far too soon on May 24, 2026. Born on May 28, 2013, to his mother, Mary Kathleen Devine, and father, Brian Douglas Gustafson, Brandan brought a spark of joy, curiosity, and adventure to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Brandan loved photographing birds, riding his bike, and spending time with his Nan. He approached life with bold curiosity and a fearless spirit, dreaming of one day traveling to Norway and Iceland. He was a devoted son, brother, grandson, and friend whose presence filled every space with laughter, stubborn determination, loyalty, and love.

He leaves behind a profound and irreplaceable void in the hearts of his mother, Mary-Kathleen Devine; his father, Brian Douglas Gustafson; his grandmother, Diane Devine; his brother, Brian Evan Gustafson; and a wide circle of family and friends who adored him.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Brandan’s life will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting small donations in Brandan’s name, in honor of his love for animals, be made to Alaqua Animal Refuge or the Emerald Coast Zoo.
