Betty Ann Justice, age 73, of Crestview, Florida passed away peacefully Saturday, February 6, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
Betty was born on October 1, 1947, in Rensselaer, Indiana. She graduated from Remington High School in 1965 and went on to attend Rudae’s School of Beauty Culture in Lafayette, Indiana. Betty married Bobby in 1966 after dating in high school. Bobby joined the United States Air Force in late 1966 and due to several moves, Betty became very versatile in building several different careers. In Albuquerque, New Mexico, Betty was an Insurance Specialist/Receptionist/Secretary for an Orthopaedic Surgeon. After a transfer to Hanscom Air Force Base Massachusetts, Betty was hired as the National Service Secretary for Allied/Instrumentation Laboratories (a Biomedical Corporation) in Lexington, Massachusetts. Betty was responsible for all national administration functions, and managed and trained regional offices (New York, San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta, and Chicago) on a multi-million-dollar contract program. She gave management, direction, and motivation to more than 130 field service engineers as well as 7 managers and their secretaries, including initiation and training of new programs. After a move to Eglin Air Force Base, Florida Betty was hired by a new Orthopaedic Surgeon to establish and manage his practice in Crestview, Florida.
Betty is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bobby Justice; sons, Raudell (Denise) Justice and Shannon (Cyndi) Justice, all of Crestview, Florida; grandchildren, Devin (Carolyn) Justice of Santa Clarita, California, Cayson Justice and her two children Rhydian and Temperance of Crestview, Florida, Dayne (Kylie) Justice of Holly Springs, Georgia, Chas Castleberry of Crestview, Florida and Tucker McDonald of Crestview, Florida; brothers, Steven (Janice) Gadson of Fort Myers, Florida, Jerry (Marie) Gadson of Warsaw, Indiana and sister, Myra (Gary) Gadson of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Betty Gadson of Warsaw, Indiana.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Davis Watkins Crestview Memorial, 492 East Pine Avenue, Crestview, Florida 32539 at 11:00am. A time of Visitation will begin one hour prior to the Funeral Service. Interment will take place at 9:00am Friday, February 12, 2021 at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Naval Air Station, Pensacola, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Kindred at Home Foundation. Betty’s family wishes to sincerely thank Stephanie and Jerica of Emerald Coast Hospice for their support and care for the last five and a half weeks.
