Barbara Ann Kent Lynch

Barbara Ann Kent Lynch, age 73, passed away at North Okaloosa Medical Center, Crestview, Florida, September 30, 2021 at 12:25 p.m. surrounded by her loving family.  Barbara was born on October 25, 1947 in Alpena, Michigan to her parents, Lawrence A. Behnke and Flora M. Behnke.   She graduated from Alpena High School in 1965. 

Barbara had a career in banking and also a license in real estate sales,  property management and owner of Southcoast Realty of Ft Walton Beach, Fl.

Barbara was married to Hugh Lynch on December 14, 2013 which started their new “farm life” in Laurel Hill, Fl., in her dream home and pool, which she was able to design. 

Barbara loved times with her family and friends, she had a caring spirit and a fierce loyalty.  She loved to go glamping in their RV and traveled every chance she could.  She was an excellent hostess and exceptional cook, she loved sewing, crafting, gardening and loved to bake, especially during the holidays when you would see the house beautifully decorated throughout.  Barbara was a perfectionist when it came to everything she did.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Hugh Lynch; children, Kristin Lewis (Bubba), Nicole Ricker(William) and Jeffrey Kent(Virginia); step children, Natalee Headly(Allen) and Audra Lynch; grandchildren, Jacob Lewis, Summer McCool (Matthew), Braxton Kent, Melody Kent, Sophia Fox and Decker Headly; many nieces, nephews, cousins and her loving dog, Hemmy. 

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Miriam Benoit.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Airport Road Church of Christ, 2845 Airport Road, Crestview, FL 32539 on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Mark Dillman officiating.  Graveside services will take place at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery.
