Antonio Ortiz “Tony” Perez, age 51, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. He was born on July 11, 1967 in Camden, NJ to Carlos M. Perez and Carmen M. Ortiz Rodriguez Perez.
Tony was renowned for his incredible intelligence, his love of languages and philosophy, his charisma and social awareness, his friendliness and compassion, his humor and his gregarious laughter. Tony also loved photography, painting, cooking, chess, animal protection and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. His enormous heart and lively soul will be greatly missed.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Carolina; mother, Carmen M. Ortiz Rodriguez Perez; siblings, Evelyn Diaz, Diane Weiszhaar and Carlos Perez; niece, Sofia N. Diaz; nephews, Sean Barbon and Antonio Diaz; and beloved pets, Chocolate, Molly and Stella.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Primera Iglesia Hispana Discipulos de Cristo, 745 Beal Parkway, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made, in Tony’s memory, to Saving our Soul Pet Rescue or Paws.
