Ann Marie Wells

Ann Marie Wells, age 76, went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2021 at her residence in Destin, Florida.

Ann leaves behind an only child, Julie Wells Lincoln, Destin, Fl; sister, Barbara Arthur of Muskegon, MI; brother-in-law, Boyd Arthur, Muskegon, MI; grandson, Logan Chappell, Tallahassee, Fl; granddaughter, Jessicah Singer, Chicago, IL and great granddaughter, Adeline Singer, Chicago, IL.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. James Wells, also of Destin.

Ann and Jim enjoyed over 45 years of marriage and travelled the world together during his air force career as a physician, eventually retiring in Destin.  Their love and devotion to each other remains a lasting inspiration to those who knew them.  Ann loved being a mother to their only child, Julie and created a nurturing, beautiful household for family and friends.  She was a confidant to many due to her uncanny wisdom, empathic understanding and forgiving nature.

Ann loved gardening, music, golden retrievers, painting, ceramics and the gospel.  Ann could light up a room with her beauty and sense of humor.  Now she is a bright light in heaven, dearly missed and never to be forgotten.

Funeral services will take place Monday, January 11, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Davis Watkins Funeral Home, 113 NE Racetrack Road, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32547. Rev. Dr. Roger Pedro will be officiating the service.  Burial will take place following the funeral service at Destin Memorial Cemetery, Destin, FL.
