Ann McWilliams Fishel
January 18, 1949 – June 6, 2026
Ann McWilliams Fishel, lovingly known as “Cissy” to family and friends, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, at the age of 77.
Born on January 18, 1949, in Jackson, Ann was raised in Hattiesburg and graduated from Hattiesburg High School. She was the daughter of Brig. Gen. John G. Fishel and Ann Fishel, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her sister, Jean Fishel.
Following her school years, Ann spent several years in Dallas before returning to Jackson, Mississippi, where she built a career in accounting, serving a number of businesses throughout the area. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Jackson and valued the friendships and fellowship she found there.
Later in life, Ann made her home in Brandon, where she enjoyed an active social life. She especially loved participating in senior excursions, card games, and activities at the local senior center, where she formed many lasting friendships.
After a serious automobile accident in 2020, Ann relocated to Fort Walton Beach, where she spent her remaining years close to family. Ann is survived by her sisters, Lucia Fishel Force and Margaret Fishel McLemore, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A graveside interment of her ashes will be held on June 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the Fishel family plot at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg, MS.
