Alyssa Woods

The world feels a little dimmer without Alyssa Woods in it. At just 24 years old, she left us far too soon, but in that short time, she filled so many lives with love, laughter, and a spirit that was beautifully her own. She had the sweetest soul and the biggest heart, full of kindness, thoughtfulness, and an unwavering love for those around her.

Alyssa had a way of seeing the world differently, more deeply, more honestly. She was wise beyond her years, unafraid to be herself in a world that so often asks for conformity. She dressed how she wanted, wore her hair how she liked, and carried herself with a quiet strength that made her unforgettable. She was witty and liked to be goofy.

She loved animals and children, and at one point, she swore she’d have at least ten of each—until her time working at a daycare made her rethink that plan. She was full of energy growing up, always moving, always playing, especially on the soccer field.

But above all, Alyssa loved her family. Her bond with her sister, Emily, was something truly special. They spoke nearly every day, often for hours, sometimes just existing together in different places but always connected. That kind of love doesn’t end—it carries on, forever unbroken.

Alyssa is survived by her loving parents, Sheryl Rohan and Scott Woods; her sister and best friend, Emily Woods; and her grandparents, Fred and Joyce Jones and Elaine Woods. She was loved beyond measure and will be missed beyond words.

The world was not always kind to Alyssa, but she met it with kindness anyway. She gave so much of her heart to others, and while she may be gone, her love will never fade.

A memorial service will be held on March 1st, in Destin [RSVP] to celebrate her beautiful life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to [SCARS]; there is a place in the Notes to share a message "In Memory of Alyssa Woods".
