Alton A. Kistler Jr., 75, of Pace, Florida passed away peacefully in his home, February 17, 2021. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin to Alton A. Kistler Sr. and Doris A. Kistler. Being the son of an Air Force officer, Al was able to live in many states and overseas in Europe.
After graduating from Hamilton Township High School in Columbus Ohio, Al enlisted in the Air Force and retired in 1994 after 28 years as a Major from McConnell AFB Kansas as the Chief of Security Police. Following retirement from military service, Al settled into the panhandle of Florida eventually residing in Pace, Florida. Al was an avid softball player and golfer.
Al is survived by his dear friend Jewell Miller, his daughters Laura Kistler and Kristin (Kirk) Grimm, and three grandchildren, Jensyn Jersey, Josh Zachrison, and Gillian Grimm. He is also survived by his brother Barry (Lynda) Kistler, a niece, several nephews, and a number of cousins.
He will be laid to rest in a national cemetery yet to be determined. There will be no other public services. Donations to your local animal shelter are greatly appreciated.
