Allen Chamberlain Obituary

Allen "Bo" Chamberlain, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 2, 2026 at the age of 72. He was a devoted family man who loved his family deeply and found his greatest joy in the time spent with those he loved.

As a husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, hard work, and memories that his family will carry with them always. Allen was a man of profound faith. His faith in God was a guiding force throughout his life, shaping the way he loved his family, cared for others, and faced life’s joys and challenges. He lived his faith through his actions, his kindness, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. His family finds comfort in knowing that the faith he carried throughout his life is now fulfilled in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

An outdoorsman at heart, Allen was happiest when he was outside. He had a special love for hunting and fishing and enjoyed the peace and simplicity of being in the woods or on the river. Whether he was spending time outdoors, sharing stories, or simply enjoying the company of family and friends, those moments brought him great happiness. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, strong work ethic, deep faith, and willingness to help others. His presence will be deeply missed, but the lessons he taught, the stories he shared, the example he set, and the memories made with him will live on through his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Maria Chamberlain; his children, Justin and Nicole Chamberlain and Walter and Hannah Bowers; his grandchildren, Robbie Bowers (son), Samuel and Ruby Bowers, and Dillon and Madison Dumas; as well as Phyllis and Greg Gandy, Charlotte McDonald and Don Ruryk, and many extended family members and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Mae Chamberlain, and child, Michael Bowers.

A service to celebrate Allen’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 7, at 3:00 p.m. at Redbay Baptist Church. The family will receive friends and visitors beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Redbay Cemetery.

Though he will be greatly missed, his family finds comfort in the many memories they shared—the laughter, the stories, the lessons, and the quiet moments together. His legacy will live on in the family he loved, the lives he touched, the faith he demonstrated, and every peaceful moment spent in the great outdoors.

Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins of DeFuniak Springs.
