Obituary

Loving mother and father, Traci Lee Forrette and Alfred "Fred" William Forrette are, unfortunately, and sadly, no longer with us.

Fred Forrette, at the age of 56, passed away peacefully at home on June 27, 2019, with his wife and son by his side. Traci Forrette, at the age of 62, passed away peacefully while in hospice care on April 1, 2022, with her son by her side.

Alfred "Fred" William Forrette

Fred was born on February 19, 1963, in Kittery, Maine, a year before what some consider the golden age and peak of muscle cars; it was this era that created his love of cars.

At the age of 13, Fred was already working on cars with his father. His natural interest in taking things apart to learn how they function allowed him to gain the mechanical knowledge to fix anything with an engine. Soon after, he became a stock car driver and would race with his custom-built Ford Falcon.

Fred would later take his mechanical knowledge and skill and shift his focus to become a master mechanic on heavy equipment and automobiles for the rest of his career.

Fred loved the outdoors and would go fishing or hunting any chance he could. Fred was an honest, hard-working, and friendly guy who would lend a hand and a laugh when you needed it.

He was a loving husband and an incredible father who was dedicated to giving his son a better life than what he was given and prioritized his family over himself to the detriment of his health.

Fred was preceded in death by his mother and father. At the time of his passing, he was survived by his sister, Giggs; brother, Kenny; wife, Traci; and son, Maxwell.

Traci Lee Forrette

Traci was born on May 13, 1960, in Fulton County, Indiana to Gary Hicks and Mary Leiter. She grew up in a traditionally religious household which created a fascination and love of scripture and spirituality that would change her perspective of the world and life.

Traci was academically gifted and excelled at school, graduating high school a year before her class. Soon after, she graduated from art school and became an artist using drawing, painting, and sculpturing to develop her skills and improve her portfolio.

Traci later traveled to Paris where she would continue her artistic work, but shift her career focus to beauty and fashion.

After living in Paris for a few years, she then traveled to New Hampshire where she would work as a beauty specialist for Lancôme and later meet Fred. Traci and Fred moved down to Florida in the 1990s and remained there ever since.

Traci was a sweet, caring, and thoughtful woman who enjoyed talking to people and spending time with her friends and family. She was an incredible wife and an amazing mother who truly deserved better than what she received from the world. Traci is survived by her son, Maxwell Forrette.

Traci was preceded in death by her father, Gary; mother, Mary; brother, Nick; sister, Julie; & husband, Fred. She is survived by her son, Maxwell.
