Alex Pete Oliver was born to the Late Rosa Lee Hayes and Henry Oliver on September 20, 1944. Alex , ”Al”, was a Purple Heart Recipient whom proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army.
One thing about Al, was he loved getting together with family and friends. He was always the life of the party and never knew a stranger. He always loved to go to his favorite watering hole and laugh and talk about old times while at the Elks Lodge!
Alex leaves to cherish his memories his longtime companion, Anna McNabb, of forty-three years; his sister, Mary keys; sons, Alex Oliver, Jr., John Oliver, and Keith Oliver (Shameka); and one daughter; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He also leaves behind a very special friend, Cyrill Bullard.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother and father; and his eight beloved brothers. Al will be missed dearly but we will cherish his memories and carry him in our hearts until we meet again.
