Addie Ruth Forehand

Addie Ruth Forehand, age 85, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026. She was born April 26, 1941, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to the late Jeff Darby and Ollie Peterson.  In her spare time Addie enjoyed sewing and gardening but most of all she loved spending time with her grand children and great grand children whom she cherished greatly.

Addie is preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Lonnie Lee Forehand; parents, Jeff and Olie Peterson Darby; grandson, Aaron Weddington; great granddaughter, Ally Bowdoin; and six siblings, Reverend Monroe Darby, Preston Darby, JoAnn Hare, Bertha Mae Conrad, James Darby, and Barlett Darby.

She is survived by two children, Rhonda Sue Woodham (Charles Patrick) and Christie Lee Robinson (Richard); six grandchildren, Amanda Robinson, Katelyn King, Hannah Robinson, Lindsay Altadonna, Alex Bowdoin, and Jay Weddington; nine great grandchildren; three siblings, Minnie Elemore, Lucille Henderson, and Betty Jean Durig; her beloved cat companion, Sophie and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026, in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Adam Peterson officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal service will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
