Tracy Lanetta Hooks, age 47, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away on May 21, 2018. She was born on March 9, 1971 in Chicago, IL.
Tracy graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School in 1989. She began working at an early age of 14 at McDonalds in 1986 until 1990. She then went to work at Delchamps from 1990-2004, briefly working a few months in 1994 at Krystal Kwik. Presently, she worked at Herco Sheet Metal. She was a dedicated and a hard working employee.
Tracy is survived by her parents, Mae J. Hooks of Fort Walton Beach, FL, and Chester Wilson, Sr. of Chicago, IL; brothers, Chester Wilson, Jr., of Chicago, IL, Anthony Wilson of Chicago, IL, and Charles T. Harris of Fort Walton Beach, FL; sisters, Tonia, Danielle and Shenay all of Chicago, IL. Tracy also leaves to remember her always, Jerry (Francisca) Hooks, Willie E. (Lula) Hooks, Liz (Harvey) Fearson, and Armelia Howard; special recognition is given to Sonja Boyer, Kenny Cook, Lisa Cox, Wayne and Tricia Lung, Chris and Cindy Miller, Tesa and Martin Macklin and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her aunt/second mother, Hazel Harris; aunts, Willie A. Boyers, Fannie Hooks and Martha Baldon; uncles, Tommie Hooks and Wade Hooks.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Emerald Coast Hospice for their diligent compassion and empathy in the care of Tracy and her family.
A Home Going Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 102 Fourth St., SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
