Tommy Reeves, age 79, of Freeport, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. He was born December 22, 1938 in Svea, Florida, the son of John and Georgia McIntosh Reeves. After 27 years with Civil Service at Eglin, he retired and began enjoying the simple pleasures of life, raising and caring for his chickens and river fishing on the Choctawhatchee, but the greatest joy retirement life granted him was the privilege of taking care of the light of his life, his granddaughter Kelsea. She stayed with him every day, and he even changed her diapers. Before long, Kelsea became his constant shadow. Whatever she asked of Paw Paw, she received. The bond between the two was clear for all to see.
He is preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann Reeves; two daughters, Angie Roberts and husband Joe and Belinda Talbot; one granddaughter, Kelsea Roberts; four grandsons, Damian, Seth, Daniel, and Jeremiah; and one sister, Louise Maloy.
Graveside services will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at Black Creek Methodist Cemetery beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Joel Davis officiating. Flowers are being accepted.
