Thomas Sterling Farley

Thomas Sterling Farley, age 65, passed away on July 26, 2019 at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, Florida. Thomas was born in Tillamook, Oregon on July 17, 1954 to Ellen McRoberts and Gordon Farley. 

After serving in the United States Air Force for 21 years as a paralegal he went on to serve another 17 years in civil service. His work ethic produced countless awards and recognition.  During those times he also became an ordained Minister, serving the Lord for many years, describing it as his calling.  He traveled abroad, leaving his footprint on the lives of those in need, including mission trips to build churches and restore basic living conditions in those areas.

He is survived by his wife, Katharina Farley, in addition to his siblings, Laura Burlet, Jody Steck and Shawn McRoberts. He is also remembered by his two daughters, Christina White and Jennifer Staub, and was blessed to have 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother Ellen McRoberts and father Gordon Farley. 

His final resting place will be at Cape Meare Lighthouse, outside of Tillamook Oregon, the place he always thought of as home, the place where his father, Gordon Farley, served in the US Coast Guard, and the place where Thomas was born.
